PODROBE – TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: September 2026
Welcome to Podrobe. These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase products from our website or place an order directly with us.
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order with Podrobe, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. OUR PRODUCTS
Podrobe products may include:
- Flat-pack Podrobes
- Made-to-order Podrobes
- Bespoke/custom-made Podrobes
- Ladders, steps and accessories
- Replacement parts
- Other children’s furniture and accessories
We make every reasonable effort to ensure photographs, descriptions, dimensions and colours shown on our website accurately represent our products.
However, colours and finishes may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and the screen or device being used.
Where products are handmade or individually finished, small variations may occur and are part of the nature of the product rather than necessarily being a defect.
3. PRODUCT DIMENSIONS
Customers are responsible for checking the dimensions of the product and ensuring that it is suitable for the intended room and location before ordering.
Please check access routes including doors, hallways, staircases and other restricted spaces where relevant.
If you are unsure about measurements, please contact us before placing your order.
4. ORDERS
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order.
An order is accepted once we send confirmation that we have accepted it.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where, for example:
- A product is unavailable
- An obvious pricing or description error has occurred
- Payment cannot be authorised
- We cannot deliver to the requested location
- We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, any amount due back to you will be refunded.
5. PRICES & PAYMENT
All prices will be displayed clearly on our website.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown before the customer completes their purchase.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
For bespoke or custom orders, we may require a deposit or full payment before work begins. Any deposit and cancellation conditions will be clearly communicated before the customer commits to the order.
6. STANDARD FLAT-PACK PODROBES
Unless specifically described as bespoke or personalised, our standard flat-pack products are treated as standard products.
Customers purchasing qualifying standard products online generally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
After notifying us, you must return the goods within the period required by law.
This cancellation right is separate from your rights if a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.
7. BESPOKE, PERSONALISED & CUSTOM-MADE ORDERS
Some Podrobe products may be manufactured specifically to a customer’s individual requirements.
This could include products manufactured to unique measurements or featuring genuinely personalised specifications, designs or finishes requested specifically by the customer and which are not part of our normal standard range.
Where a product genuinely qualifies as made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised under applicable consumer law, the normal change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply.
We will make this clear to the customer before the order is placed where applicable.
Choosing from standard options that we normally offer does not necessarily mean that an item is legally considered bespoke or personalised.
This does not affect your statutory rights if a custom or personalised product is faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.
8. CHANGES TO BESPOKE ORDERS
If you wish to change a bespoke/custom order, please contact us as quickly as possible.
We will try to accommodate reasonable changes, but once manufacturing has started some changes may not be possible or may result in additional charges.
Any additional cost will be explained and agreed before the change is made.
9. DELIVERY
Estimated delivery times will be provided on the website, during checkout or directly to the customer.
Any delivery date given is an estimate unless we specifically agree that a particular date is essential.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and appropriate contact details.
The customer should ensure that suitable access is available for delivery.
Where a delivery cannot reasonably be completed because incorrect information was supplied or suitable access was not available, reasonable additional delivery charges may apply where legally permitted.
10. CHECKING YOUR DELIVERY
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If packaging or the product appears damaged, please contact Podrobe promptly.
Where possible, please provide:
- Your order number
- Photographs of the packaging
- Photographs showing the damage
- A brief description of the problem
This helps us investigate and resolve the issue quickly.
Failure to report something immediately does not remove any statutory rights you may have.
11. RETURNS – CHANGE OF MIND
For qualifying standard products purchased online, customers may cancel within 14 days after receiving their goods.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must return the product within the applicable legal return period.
Unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty, the customer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product where this has been properly communicated before purchase.
Because Podrobes are large furniture products, return transport may be considerably more expensive than ordinary parcel postage. Where applicable, information about return arrangements and costs will be provided before purchase.
Products should be returned with all parts, accessories and instructions included.
Customers may inspect goods as they reasonably would in a shop. If goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning and their value has consequently been reduced, we may make a deduction from the refund where the law allows us to do so.
12. REFUNDS
Where a customer validly cancels a qualifying standard online order, we will refund the amounts required by law, including the standard outbound delivery charge where applicable.
If the customer selected a more expensive delivery service than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the standard delivery charge.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds will be processed within the timescales required by UK consumer law.
13. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
We want every Podrobe to arrive in the condition expected.
If your product is:
- Faulty
- Damaged
- Incorrect
- Not as described
- Missing essential components
please contact us as soon as possible.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may provide an appropriate remedy such as:
- Replacement parts
- Repair
- Replacement
- Price reduction
- Refund
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.
14. 30-DAY RIGHT TO REJECT FAULTY GOODS
Where the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies, consumers may have a short-term right to reject goods that do not meet the legal requirements and obtain a refund if they exercise that right within the applicable 30-day period.
After this period, customers may have rights to a repair or replacement and, in certain circumstances, a price reduction or refund.
These statutory rights apply whether the product is standard or genuinely bespoke.
15. FLAT-PACK ASSEMBLY
Some Podrobe products are supplied flat-packed and require assembly.
Customers must follow the supplied assembly instructions carefully.
Where the instructions specify that a product must be secured or anchored, this must be completed correctly before the product is used.
Children should not use the product until assembly has been fully completed and all required safety checks have been carried out.
If you are not confident assembling the product safely, we recommend using a competent person.
16. DAMAGE CAUSED BY INCORRECT ASSEMBLY OR MISUSE
Podrobe cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting solely from:
- Incorrect assembly
- Failure to follow supplied instructions
- Unauthorised alterations
- Misuse of the product
- Using the product for a purpose for which it was not designed
- Failure to use required safety or fixing components
However, nothing in this section excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from a defect in the product or inadequate instructions where Podrobe is legally responsible.
17. CHILD SAFETY
Podrobe products are designed with children’s use in mind, but furniture must always be used responsibly and in accordance with the instructions provided.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children use the product appropriately.
Children should not:
- Climb on areas not designed for climbing
- Swing or hang from doors, rails or furniture
- Exceed stated weight limits
- Modify or remove safety components
Any supplied ladder, steps, rails, fixings or other safety components should be installed and used exactly as instructed.
18. TVs & ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Where photographs show televisions, games consoles, lighting, computers or other electrical equipment, these items are not included unless specifically stated in the product description.
Customers are responsible for ensuring any electrical equipment installed within or used with a Podrobe is installed safely and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
19. WARRANTY & STATUTORY RIGHTS
Any commercial warranty offered by Podrobe is additional to the customer’s statutory rights.
A warranty does not replace or reduce your rights under UK consumer law.
Details of any Podrobe warranty applicable to a particular product will be supplied with the product or stated on the website.
20. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Podrobe name, branding, product imagery, website content, drawings and original product designs are owned by or licensed to Podrobe unless otherwise stated.
Certain Podrobe designs may be protected by registered design rights and/or other intellectual property rights, and some innovations may be subject to pending intellectual property applications.
No person or business may copy, reproduce, manufacture, commercially exploit or distribute our protected designs, photographs or other intellectual property without permission where those rights apply.
21. WEBSITE CONTENT
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date.
We may update product descriptions, specifications, prices and availability from time to time.
Nothing in these terms permits us to make changes to an existing customer’s confirmed order where doing so would breach the contract or applicable consumer law.
22. PROMOTIONAL CODES & OFFERS
Promotional codes and special offers may be subject to additional conditions.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes:
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot normally be combined with another promotion
- Must be used within the stated promotional period
Promotional conditions will be made clear when the promotion is offered.
23. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or removes any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
24. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We will not be responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, we will contact the customer and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
25. COMPLAINTS
We want customers to be completely satisfied with their Podrobe.
If you have a problem, please contact us at:
Email: hello@podrobe.com
Telephone: [INSERT NUMBER]
Please include your name, order number and details of the issue.
We will aim to resolve complaints fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.
26. PRIVACY
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Our Privacy Policy should be read alongside these Terms & Conditions.
27. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights you have regarding which courts may hear a dispute.
28. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our products, business or applicable law.
The Terms & Conditions applying to an order will normally be those in force when the order is placed.
